AMD Vega GPU Architecture is the next generation graphics silicon promised by AMD this year. The GPU will finally compete with the top of the end Nvidia Cards.
AMD have confirmed the release before the first half of the year and we have seen a working Vega 10 GPU at the New Horizon Event of the Ryzen CPUs.
The chip spans a die of over 500mm2 and features two HBM2 stacks with up to 8 GB of HBM2. The chip will be running on the latest 14nm GFX9 core architecture based on the NCU (Next Compute Engine) design. The card will feature 64 Compute Units or 4096 stream processors. It is also rumored to utilize GDDR5 memory.
