Iphone 8 and Iphone 8 plus have been announced by Apple.
The new phones features all glass design along with water and dust resistance. The design is similar to the previous iphone 7 but now is all glass with curved edges. The new glass design looks cool adding a bit of grip and weight to the phone. Being all glass make sure you don’t take the risk of dropping it.
It rocks a 4.7 inch HD true tone display. The new A11 bionic chip which is faster and efficient in performance with 2GB of RAM. The rear camera is 12 megapixel f/1.8 with OIS and the front facing is 8 megapixel. No headphone jack!!
Overall its an amazing balanced device but fragile due to the glass. The camera performance is great. The main new feature is it is water and dust resistant. The display is not the best in the price range but the colour reproduction is amazing as always.
AMD Vega GPU Architecture is the next generation graphics silicon promised by AMD this year. The GPU will finally compete with the top of the end Nvidia Cards.
AMD have confirmed the release before the first half of the year and we have seen a working Vega 10 GPU at the New Horizon Event of the Ryzen CPUs.
The chip spans a die of over 500mm2 and features two HBM2 stacks with up to 8 GB of HBM2. The chip will be running on the latest 14nm GFX9 core architecture based on the NCU (Next Compute Engine) design. The card will feature 64 Compute Units or 4096 stream processors. It is also rumored to utilize GDDR5 memory.
The AMD Ryzen 7 CPUs have somewhat conquered the gaming and production line with it’s performance to price ratio. But there is another good news- The AMD Ryzen 5 budget friendly CPUs starting from $169 to $249.
The top end R5 1600X has 6 cores, 12 threads with a base clock of 3.6GHz and a turbo of 4.0GHz pricing $249. The next is a $219 1600 having the same core and thread numbers but is clocked at 3.2GHz and boosts upto 3.6GHz. The 4 core and 8 thread CPUs are the 1400 at $169 and the 1500X at $189. The 1400 is clocked at 3.2GHz and boost of 3.4GHz and the 1500x is at 3.5GHz boosting up to 3.7GHz.
The top end $249 1600X is head to head with Intel’s Kaby Lake i5-7600K and the $169 competing with i3-7350K.
The CPUs will be released to consumers on 11th of April. Surely AMD is picking up the race with Intel.
As we know that gtx 1080 is one of the best card for full fledged gaming experience and while we enjoy it’s amazing performance capabilities. Nvidia released the next beast the Ti version of the GTX 1080- The GTX 1080 Ti.
The “Ti” versions are slightly lower than the titan edition cards but are the best option for gaming without compromise at much cheaper price than the Titan cards.
The GTX 1080 Ti is different than GTX 1080 though they have same “1080” in the name. But the ti version has better silicone version at it’s core. The GTX 1080 and 1070 are based on same GP 104 architecture while GTX 1080 Ti has GP 102 slightly lower than architecture which is present in Titan X version cards.
GTX 1080 Ti has stock clock frequency of 1.48GHz and 1.58 boost clock. The memory supported is GDDR5x second gen which is the fastest ever by Nvidia with 11 GB VRAM with a total bandwidth of 484GB/sec.
Because of the launch of GTX 1080 Ti the prices of GTX 1080 have come down. So it is an opportunity for you to get GTX 1080 at somewhat cheaper price. AMD’s RX Vega cards will be launching in the next quarter and the GTX 1080 Ti will have to compete with them.
